Most Thresholds members have a history of trauma in their lives. But what does that actually mean, and what does it have to do with our work today? Cutting edge research istelling us that traumatic events, such as experiencing, witnessing or being threatened with violence affects current and future mental, physical, social and spiritual health as an adult. Understanding thisprocess has become essential in our clinical work at Thresholds.
The Trauma Steering Committee has been working on implementing changes that move Thresholds in the direction of being a trauma-informed organization. Thresholds’ clinical staff have received hours of training on this topic to help change the way treatment is provided.
However, to be truly trauma-informed, all administrative staff need training, too! To that end, the committee created a wonderful, short workshop about trauma-informed care so that all staff have access to this vital information.
The leadership at Thresholds wants to be sure that all staff have access to this key training –Please select a time from the five options listed in the RSVP tab
